We work towards a future where every family raising an individual with autism or a developmental disability feels supported, empowered, and connected to the resources they need to thrive.
Our Story
When Andrea Robertson's daughter Lexie was diagnosed with autism, Andrea faced firsthand the challenges of navigating a system that made it incredibly difficult for them to access the support they needed.
Refusing to accept the status quo, Andrea became a powerful advocate, not just for Lexie, but for families across Arizona. Her efforts led to the creation of Lexie's Law, a tax credit scholarship program that gives disabled and displaced students the opportunity to attend schools that offer the individualized support they deserve. Since its passage in 2009, the law has helped hundreds of children thrive in environments built for their unique needs.
Andrea's Journey
Lexi's Voice has now expanded its mission beyond advocacy to direct service provision. What began as one mother's fight for her daughter has grown into a comprehensive organization supporting hundreds of families each year.
The addition of Charlie's Treehouse (started by Lexie’s twin sister, Charlie) allowed us to address the critical need for ongoing support for teens and adults.
The creation of The Family Fund further expanded our reach, providing direct assistance to families facing financial barriers to accessing services, equipment, and resources.
Today, Lexi's Voice continues to evolve in response to community needs. We remain committed to our founding principles of advocacy, education, and support, while continuously developing new ways to serve families caring for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
